Burn Notice: Covert Ops 2


COVERT OPS 2.0, an alternate reality game themed to the #1 scripted series on cable, BURN NOTICE. Developed in conjunction with the show’s creator Matt Nix, USA Network is once again partnering with GM’s Saab USA around the second installment of the most successful online game in the channel’s history. The game enables the show’s fans to get more involved with the franchise by turning users into spies and challenging them to conduct surveillance, clone a phone and plant evidence, all while behind the wheel of a Saab 9-3 Convertible.

The game was a success on multiple levels, spanning diverse audiences and driving them to the return of the series. For existing fans, the experience kept them active in Burn Notice during the year-long hiatus and allowed them to personally become operatives within their favorite show. For new fans, the experience engaged them in the exciting elements of being a spy while learning techniques and interesting facts about a life of espionage. Doubling traffic to the site in the first two weeks of launch. The game exceeded high expectations in helping to usher in the much-anticipated return of cable television’s #1 new scripted original series. To date, Covert Ops has earned 6.5 MM page views, 208K uniques and 272K visits and it is the most popular game on usanetwork.com, topping the #2 game by +44% Time spent per visit has grown from 8.7 minutes at launch to 10.4 minutes during the most recent week, while page views per unique has grown from 12.1 at launch to 35.8 in the most recent week.

BURN NOTICE COVERT OPS 2.0 was developed in conjunction with Omelet (www.omeletla.com), a Los Angeles based full service advertising and entertainment company. The game will be the digital centerpiece of a robust online microsite for the series. Additional elements include video spy tips, full episodes, behind the scenes and more.
